Replacement of Front Garden and Fence

The first job was to clean out the garden, saving desirable plants for transplanting later, plus the removal of the brick wall. Then the troublesome tree and its roots were removed.

We then planted a new tree to enhance the space and in a more suitable position, keeping in mind the overhead power and phone lines.

A new double skin timber fence was constructed, following the slight slope of the public footpath. the second skin giving the fence strength as the garden would be pushing against it. After painting the fence a custom made, slim-line large letterbox was fitted.

This garden was filled with invasive plants and the brick wall was crumbling, due to the roots of a large tree pushing it out.

The garden was made wider to include an uneven lawn area. This made for easier mowing. Then replanted with easy care subtropicals with the saved plants reused. Installation of an irrigation system with a timer was next and the garden was topped with a good layer of aged bark mulch, to improve moisture retention, suppress weed growth, feed the garden over time and enhance the overall look of the garden.
